MANGESH KULKARNI: “Rally around the West Indies” is more than a song. It is beginning to feel like instruction.

If someone had said before the tournament that West Indies would top their group, win all four matches, and do so with authority, I would have nodded politely but privately doubted it.

Yet here we are: Four wins from four. England beaten. Nepal and Scotland handled. Italy dispatched. Group topped.

More surprising than the results themselves is how quickly this team has come together. The cohesion and clarity of roles, the shared energy; it has developed in weeks, not months.

As the tournament shifts into the Super 8s, one truth stands out: Momentum matters more than talent alone. Talent is static, momentum evolves, and right now, it seems as if the West Indies are playing their best cricket at the right time.
