Between the Lines: What IPL selection says about the state of Caribbean cricket

For West Indies supporters, the IPL could be viewed as an extension of the recent T20 World Cup. There are different pressures and new questions to answer, but five of Caribbean cricket's top-performing internationals, and two former internationals, are going under the global microscope once again. 

Should we be proud, or should we ask why the Caribbean is only sending seven players to an elite tournament? I sense there is a message hidden between the lines.

But first, what of the form book? For the players who have featured in both competitions, is it as simple as swapping a jersey, or does the new setting press a reset button?
