When it was announced that the Nepal T20 series would begin mere days before the start of the India vs West Indies Test series, it was always going to be a case of testing the T20 squad’s bench strength.

With the T20 World Cup beginning on 7th February 2026, fewer than five months remain for the West Indies to find the final pieces of the puzzle. It has been clear for a long time that they lack death bowlers, strike bowlers, a replacement for Nicholas Pooran, a leg spinner, and a reliable left-arm pace option. If the intention is to go deep in Sri Lanka and India, that is a lot of conundrums to solve.

Does the squad for the Nepal series hint at any answers?
