Caribbean Cricket News has existed on Substack since June 2020, bringing fans some of the brightest and most insightful writing on the subject of West Indies cricket.
However, with major cricket news outlets failing to cover our region, and fans falling prey to fake news aggregators with no interest beyond clicks, we felt it was time to elevate our coverage and bring fans the news and views they deserve.
Over the past few months, I have been in discussion with CounterPress, a bold new platform for specialist sports coverage. The founders believe in quality-first journalism for sporting communities, which perfectly fits our ethos.
In 2019, the Caribbean Cricket Podcast set out to fix that, and now, six action-packed years later, we’re stepping up to the crease with a dedicated platform powered by CounterPress.
Founded by Machel Hewitt and Santokie Nagulendran, the podcast has established itself as a powerful, knowledgeable, and reliable source of West Indies cricket information. With content bursting at the seams, we felt it was time to push new boundaries.
